Some of the tools that are commonly required when putting on body kits are basic mechanic tools (ratchets, wrenches, extenders, screwdrivers, nut-drivers and more), a socket wrench, Phillips head screwdriver, drill, assorted drill bits, wire cutters or strippers, a utility knife, grease pencil, alcohol, electrical tape and self-tapping screws. A number of other tools can be required to install body kits and may be found listed on the kit’s instructions.

These kits come with a number of different parts that often include a front bumper, a rear bumper, side skirt, fenders and other parts in a variety of styles and designs. Before installing body kits, it is important to make sure that the parts fit correctly. If someone is installing body kits and wants to paint the parts, he or she will not be able to change the parts once they have painted the pieces.
